Yoga is Hard
I always made fun of yoga nuts because i thought it was kind of sissy-la-la-bed-wetter stuff... right, i'm sorry now. Yoga X is tuff stuff and no joke. The people on the DVD make it look easy, but just like everything else in this program i'm going to have to work my way up to finishing the DVD. i made it half way through, which i've found is my bench mark for starting a new DVD. anyway, not much to say today... just that Yoga is hard

Breakthrough!
P90x - Round - 1, Day - 3
I feel like this was a turning point for me mentally because i'm exited to finally be able to do this. This morning i was sore from the plyometrics but not debilitated like i was from the previous workouts soreness, and the burn didn't wear me out as fast today either. it's nice to think that i'm building some endurance. The DVDs help because it gives you a base line to compare yourself with and Tony keeps you on your toes with advice.
I've gained back 3 lbs and am back up to 197 today, but i figure that it's all just water weight changing and moving around. All of the stories i've heard and read say that people started seeing results around day 30 so i'm holding out for that and i won't be discouraged if the change comes slower than i want it to.
On another note, my brother has decided to join me in the adventure while he's away at school and a friend of my from back in Florida is thinking about it as well. so it'll be nice to have people to talk to and compete with who i know. even though we're all going to be in different parts of the country we'll all be on the same journey.
Tomorrow is Yoga X, i've never done any sort of yoga, i'll let you know how it goes in my next post.

Plyometrics (Jumping Exercise)
P90x round - 1, Day - 2
Today was pyometrics day and let me tell you, this is no joke! when Tony tells you to have a bucket ready he means it...
I feel like i got a good workout, my legs are shaking even though i only made it half way though the workout today. i'm ok with that for now, it's frustrating because i feel weak, but i don't want to over work myself and not be able to move for a week. so i'm pacing myself and working my way into the program, if i can't nail it this time i'll hit it when i do round 2!
my brother wanted to try the workout with me today because he's thinking about giving the program a shot too, it was funny because while we were doing the "Run Stance Squat" he fell backwards into on to our couch when we jumped up to switch sides because his legs gave out. i wasn't far behind him, i burned out half way through the second set.
Like i said before, i've never done anything like this before and it's not easy, but i'm going to stay true to myself and keep pushing play every day. even if i can't make it all the way through a video this time, i know i'll be able to by the end. I just have to keep telling myself to BRING IT! every day, every workout, every set.

Day 1


P90x Round -1, Day - 1
I weigh 195 lbs and i'm 6ft 1in, my waist is 38in my body fat percentage is 21%, my over all goal is to weigh 170 lbs and have a size 32 waist again. i'm starting P90x because i'm tired of having clothing that i don't fit into any more. i want to be fit and thin, not sluggish and overweight.
today i started the P90x classic program. today was the chest and back video, i have to say that i'm in for a rough ride. after The workout i wanted to throw up because of the workout. this thing is tough! i only made it though half of the workout and even then i was doing push ups on my knees and pull ups with a foot on the ground.
i hate sounding like a pansy but i'm also not going to lie to myself. i'm out of shape and have absolutely no endurance whatsoever. i'm looking forward to what i'm going to look and feel like a few months from now.
I plan on uploading pictures and video as well of the workouts. (i'm gonna wait until i actually look good doing them though. lol) here is a picture of me on day 1, enjoy the flab while it lasts people!
